Scottish Summer Storm

This painting is inspired by a photograph I captured during the summer in Kintyre, Scotland, as a storm approached the cliffs overlooking the sea. I was drawn to the dramatic tension between the calm landscape and the incoming storm, and I wanted to convey that sense of impending change. Through this piece, I aimed to capture the raw, untamed beauty of Scotland’s coastline, where nature’s power and serenity coexist. The interplay of light and shadow reflects the shifting mood of the scene, creating an atmospheric, almost cinematic quality.
