Medusa series

This series draws inspiration from Greek mythology, specifically the narrative of Medusa. At the time of creation, I found myself captivated by Cubist artwork, prompting me to explore the deconstruction of the human face into geometric shapes. Through experimentation with various viewpoints, I aimed to overlap and intertwine the faces, resulting in a composition that evolves into a more geometric and abstract representation as the series progresses.

In addition to the formal exploration, I sought to engage with the multifaceted interpretations of Medusa—portraying her both as a monstrous figure and as a survivor of profound trauma. This duality reflects the complexity of her character and invites viewers to contemplate the layers of meaning that arise from her story.
