KATABASIS

This artwork was inspired by “Dante’s Inferno” and Katabasis within Greek mythology, a descent into the underworld. I took the concept of “Katabasis” and applied it to myself. This artwork represents my relationship with stress.

Stress has been something that I have struggled to manage and deal with for several years, to the point where I consider it my own personal Hell. Stress from my point of view is like a fungus that infects the mind and grows, something that poisons your mind, thoughts, and perspective on the world which eats at you from the inside out.
