Fading Echo, Blooming Narcissus

Inspired by the tragic love story of Echo and Narcissus, this painting explores loss, transformation, and empowerment. Narcissus was consumed by his vanity, ultimately fading away, looking at his reflection. Narcissus fades away without ever knowing that he was loved by Echo. After death, Narcissus’s body transforms into a Daffodil, symbolising being reborn after tragedy. This melancholic story reminds us that tragedy can be transformed into beauty, destruction into life, and pain into empowerment.
