Echoes Between Us

This artwork began as something much larger —a public mural where anyone could draw or express themselves in any way they chose. It evolved into a collaborative piece shaped by the community itself.
What was displayed were cut-down sections of the mural. I wanted to give people a chance to have their voice represented in a gallery where they might otherwise feel disconnected from the work. I took sections of the panels and painted them over with imagery that represented Glasgow. This work is about connection to the city, to each other, and to the stories we share.
